The Struggle to Watch My Weight is Easier when My Routines Are Consistent

Birthdays, backyard barbecues and summer vacation are just three things that can cause me to go off my diet. I do well when the routine of work and days off is consistent. When there is a special occasion, I can fall off of the diet wagon a little too quick. Two weeks ago started three birthdays, one was mine, and two backyard barbecues, and I started my vacation too. Now I’m looking online at the IdealShape meal replacement shake reviews to see if they will work for me to lose the fat I gained.

Am I disappointed in myself? Yes, I really am. I have worked very hard getting into shape by watching my diet and lifting weights. I was proud of the way I looked. Then my jeans fit tight after my vacation was over. Too much birthday cake, barbecued spare ribs and cole slaw and slacking off at the gym. I needed to cut calories to burn off some fat and get back to my routine that helps me stay consistent day in and day out.

Controlling calories kind of flies out the window for me when my routines are messed up. If I get up at the same time every day and follow the same patterns, I can control things a whole lot better. It is just something I struggle with. Too much freedom and food choices can pack the pounds on me. I have lost a lot of weight and gained a decent amount of muscle mass due to hard work and a consistent diet and workout routine. I do not want to lose all of my progress just to indulge in some chocolate birthday cake. If I can stick to having few social events that have food per year, I do pretty good at watching my weight.
